Heise Verlag not willing to sell mark rights for iX
Professional IT magazine iX insists on its name

Hannover (Germany), May 24th 2000 - The German publisher "Verlag Heinz Heise" in Hannover still sees a big potential for conflicts in the name of the new European stock market. The publishing company still insists on its mark and title rights for iX and is not willing to sell the brand iX.

The planned title "iX" as abbreviation for "International Exchange" is identical even in writing with the magazine "iX - magazine for professional information technology" which is being published under this title since 1988.

Immediately after the fusion of the stock exchanges of London and Frankfurt had been announced the publisher from Hannover, Germany, has informed the Deutsche Börse AG about the existing mark and title rights for "iX" for its IT magazine iX. In the meantime talks with the Deutsche Börse AG have taken place. So far these talks have not come to a result.

iX is one of the magazines that IT professionals simply have to read. The carefully selected assortment of basic articles, background reports and tests not influenced by the industry as well as presentations of recent products provide vital information for successful IT application within companies.
